On Apr 19 2017 at Nestle Vietnam Office, the Vietnam Coffee Coordinating Board (VCCB) chaired the meeting of PPP Coffee Task Force (also known as the VCCB Production Sub-committee). At the meeting, representatives of Nestle Vietnam summarized the Task Force’s activities in 2016 and raised ideas for the discussion of 2017 action plan. In addition, the Vice Co-chair of VCCB shared the orientation and support for coffee sector in 2017. The representative of Global Coffee Platform (GCP) also shared the GCP action plan in Vietnam in 2017.
At the end of meeting, all parties agreed that the PPP Coffee Task Force will focus on sharing experience and Task Force’s achievements in order to reach a greater number of beneficiaries; consolidation of Task Force members as well as enhanced the connection and sharing among them.
In the same day, the VCCB and IPSARD shared the research’s results on policy barriers in land consolidation for expansion of production in agriculture and analyze the models of collaborative cooperation to increase production scale. More than 30 representatives participated in and discussed about the advantages and challenges in implementing the model of accumulation of production expansion to base on the basis of land accumulation trial production for coffee sector in Central Highland provinces.
