Nestlé Vietnam and PSAV Strengthen Public–Private Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture

On 6 August 2026, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE), Deputy Minister Nguyen Quoc Tri welcomed Mr. Binu Jacob, Chairman & CEO of Nestlé Vietnam, who also serves as the Private Sector Co-Chair of the Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture in Vietnam (PSAV). The meeting reviewed the achievements of the long-standing partnership and discussed future cooperation in advancing sustainable agriculture, regenerative agriculture, circular economy, digital transformation, and innovative public–private partnership (PPP) initiatives that support Vietnam's green growth and sustainable development agenda.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Quoc Tri highly appreciated Nestlé Vietnam's more than three decades of commitment to Vietnam's agricultural sector, particularly through its active role in PSAV. As the private sector co-chair of PSAV, Nestlé Vietnam has worked closely with the Ministry and its affiliated agencies to implement numerous initiatives promoting sustainable coffee production, regenerative agriculture, circular economy, greenhouse gas emission reduction, and capacity building for farmers. The Deputy Minister also highlighted the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Department of International Cooperation and Nestlé Vietnam in 2025 as an important framework for strengthening collaboration in technology transfer, innovation, digital transformation, and mobilizing resources for effective PPP initiatives.

On behalf of Nestlé Vietnam, Mr. Binu Jacob reaffirmed the company's long-term commitment to working alongside the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and PSAV in promoting regenerative agriculture, sustainable agricultural value chains, circular economy, and low-emission agricultural development. He also shared updates on the commissioning of Nestlé Tri An Factory's new glass-jar instant coffee packaging line, which is expected to enhance the value of Vietnam's coffee industry through advanced technology, workforce development, and increased export competitiveness.

Both sides agreed to further strengthen the role of PSAV as Vietnam's leading public–private partnership platform for sustainable agriculture by fostering closer collaboration between the public and private sectors and mobilizing resources for green transformation. Moving forward, the Ministry and Nestlé Vietnam will continue implementing the priorities outlined in their Memorandum of Understanding, focusing on regenerative agriculture, circular economy, greenhouse gas emission reduction, digital transformation, innovation, research and technology transfer, while scaling up successful initiatives under the NESCAFÉ Plan to support sustainable coffee production, enhance value addition, and improve the competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products.

The meeting reaffirmed the important role of PSAV as a collaborative platform that brings together government agencies, businesses, and development partners to mobilize resources, foster innovation, and accelerate Vietnam's transition toward a greener, more resilient, and sustainable agricultural sector.
